Guppyfriend® Washing Bag

It might not be possible to completely avoid washing plastic textiles. The GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bag is the first pragmatic solution that prevents microplastic fibres from entering rivers and oceans through the washing of synthetic textiles. The broken fibres collect in the corners of the washing bag after washing and can be easily removed and disposed of.

Details

A large part of our clothing is made of synthetic materials. When washed, broken plastic fibres end up in the waste water in rivers and oceans and thus harm our environment. Our solution: the GUPPYFRIEND wash bag. According to the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT, on average 86% fewer fibres of synthetic clothing break off when washed with the wash bag. The fibres that do break off are deposited in the corners of the wash bag after washing and can be easily removed and disposed of.

Material

‣ Untreated polyester (PET)
‣ 100% plastic-free packaging

Application

Fill to about ⅔ full - so that the textiles can move in the bag. Add other (non-synthetic) textiles or a second filled GUPPYFRIEND wash bag to avoid imbalance. Wash at max. 40°, use liquid and natural detergents without synthetics, remove coarse dirt and pet hair before washing. Slide the zipper into the "garage" provided at the end of the zip.
